Student Assignment System Gets ReDesigned

The San Francisco Unified School District has just released their preliminary version of the new elementary school attendance map. The map divides the city into “sending” districts for elementary school. This is a major shift from the open lottery system that’s been in place for decades.  More information about the changes can be found here.
